Having gotten that out of the way, I want to know what's big for your 2010? Will you be traveling, career changes, going back to school.....
I have a feeling 2010 is going to be my best year yet! In the past few years, I've lost some loved ones and gained a very special loved one! Wayne and I have seen our share of stress and torture; however, I feel that things are going to get better and better. We'll have to be patient over the next few months though.
Wayne will still have his "funky" work schedule, going in after I get out of my job, but only for a short period of time! He's going to get his business license today! We were supposed to finalize it all last week, but unforeseen electrical issues preventing him from being able to get up there. Our "God-send" of an insurance guy, Jim, was actually working on Saturday. This allowed Wayne to go get General Liability insurance then, so all he has to do is run by the Inspector's office today to get the license!!!!! I'm GIDDY excited :)
On my front, I didn't work on either book OR my paintings AT ALL over the holiday (yes, I was mucho lazy). I spent all of my time and efforts on my family, and it was FABULOUS!
However, starting tonight, as it comes with the new year, I will begin to finish the projects that I have started. I must make more of an effort to not begin new things when I have more than 3 projects sitting on idle! I blame it on being a Gemini....we aren't content unless we're in the middle of chaos...don't ask, it's hard to deal with. My brain doesn't function properly unless things are that way though. Maybe it's my love of problem-solving? WHO knows....maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment! :)
So, this means prioritizing; I must make a list of the things I have going on, and then decide which need to be finished first. I LOVE lists, I love post-its! Since it's going to take longer, I will probably put the books on hold for now....even though "Jake" is in process of being published, I still have to finish illustrations (and that could take me a while, since I insist on doing them myself!). The poetry book isn't even close. I have a working title and about 30 poems, but that's it so far.
So, I will try to be more patient, work through a project and not start a new one (unless a spark of brilliance hits me and I have to), and get things in proper order. I'm about to become an office manager on top of everything else I'm doing! ;)
Thanks, as always, for following me....I really appreciate your feedback! It's always nice to hear from my readers. :)
Take care and be looking for a new contest, coming your way SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!
