There are SO many things going through my mind right now....ideas and initiatives to move forward and make SO much more of myself, and do more for my family. I have 3 journals FULL of poetry, not to mention the ones on my laptop and printed from a previous blog; I have about 8 canvases that need paint; there is a little boy named Jake waiting to meet the world (as soon as I give him a face!).

I've asked a friend who is published to help me sort through my poetry and give her opinion on whether or not it's worthy of publishing. I want so badly to be a recognized artist. This is a desire greater than any want I've ever had! I guess that fear has kept me from pursuing my dream; maybe this girl who's always preaching to "jump and fly" needs a dose of her own medicine? I'm pretty stubborn, so I know I won't back down and give up.

As far as my mediocre painting skills, there seems to be a possibility there too. Our friends out in Phoenix have asked me to take some pictures and forward to them. Juliet's mom owns an art gallery. Here again, though, I don't think this is one of my strong points. Do YOU even know....I would DIE if she even considered showing one of my paintings!

Anyway, as things are getting into a routine with our little bundle, and Wayne is working nights, I am finding that I may have time to actually get back on that horse and start writing and painting again! It's exciting for me....I need the release!

And now my hands are covered in charcoal because I decided to go take a couple of pictures....anyway, here's one of my fave's that I painted from a drawing I did a LONG time ago!

Good for you! I wish I had some spare time to do some of the things I love to do :( I guess I will just have to live vicariously through you.

I'm really hoping that I do have the time. The really funny thing is, on a recent episode of L.A. Ink, Kat Von D said, "you have to make the time for the things you love", to a co-worker who said he couldn't find time?!?

So I guess that I WILL make time, even if it's only 30 minutes out of the day! ;)
