My Blog....Is it out of control?

I have started to realize that many of my friends, who blog, actually have an agenda. They either blog to keep family and friends up-to-date, write about "issues" that are important to them (supporting a cause), or they are more of the "picture blogger". This got me to thinking (and I'm sure I've mentioned it before), but I should be more structured in my blogs. I need to be more structured in my blogs!

I have decided that instead of ranting, which I feel is what I do most here, I will start taking pictures of things going on in my life. This will be the foundation of my blogs! I have TONS of pictures, that my grandmother gave me, of my youth. So, my daily to every-other-day blog will be based on that picture (or pictures).

And so, to not disappoint, and as a tribute to my grandfather, here is my first.

This picture was taken when I was 17, fresh out of school, at an uncle's wedding. Included in the photo, my Memaw, my brother, and my grandfather, Pappy, who just passed 2 weeks ago. It's somehow surreal to me that he's gone. Well, he's physically gone, but he'll always be here!

Let me float back to that day.....I was engaged to my high school sweetie (and no, that didn't work out!). It was a gorgeous day....my uncle married his love on a HUGE farm in the most southern part of central Kentucky (I'd tell you, but I don't think I'd spell it right anyway). I love this picture of my grandparents. Aren't they photogenic!!?!! All of their photos looked that good....beautiful smiles and dressed to the nines. This was also the day that my uncle told me I could keep a horse on his farm if I wanted.....but that is a story for another day!

Ciao***

You have told some wonderful and downright hilarious stories. Putting photos with them will only increase my desire to stay in touch with your life. Completely dig the backdrop you have here!
