What's with this CRAZY weather?

I'm so confused. When I was a little girl, I clearly remember being in sweaters and jackets by now. It's October 18th, and it's presently 82 degrees (according to Weather.com). There are thunderstorms and tornadoes, one minute it's hot and muggy and the next, there's a cool breeze blowing the dark clouds around in the sky. It's RIDICULOUS! I want my 60's during the day and 40's at night, DAMN it!

I miss "normal" weather, when seasons were seasons and didn't change within a week. We no longer have Spring and Fall. We have mild Winters and HOT arse Summers. Our plants are even screwed up by the craziness. There are Bradford Pear trees that are being dug up because they are dying-flowering over the past month because they obviously think it's Spring all over. *sigh*

I can say every year that my husband gives me a dozen +2 roses, because that is exactly what blooms from my FIVE rose bushes; it's just too hot for them. They barely survive the heat with leaves, little alone have enough energy to produce blooms. It sucks! We buy plants that say "drought-tolerant, heat resistant" but that's for "normal" weather I think.

So, today I went to lunch with some co-workers (as one of them is leaving us). We walk outside from my office, the sun it trying to peak through the clouds; it doesn't feel to bad. We get to Macaroni Grill (and yes, I ate veggie-eggplant parmesan (let's remember, I'm at the lacto-vegetarian right now. Cheese is the last thing I have to give up) and a salad. By the time we're in the car for all of 8 minutes, the temp has gone up at least 10 degrees (it feels) and it's M U G G Y!
We are there for about 1 hour 15 minutes, walk outside to see overcast skies, WINDY, and actually chilly?

~~*~~ Have the weather gods lost their bloody minds!!??!! ~~*~~

Thank goodness that today is my Friday, I have a 4 day weekend-wooohooooo

Ciao***
Gigi

That is very sweet of him and I much prefer hot weather to any cold weather.
