Cooking for a Cure

I'm not really sure how many people even read my blogs, but every effort I can make to help someone out....WELL, I am just going to do IT!!!! This is a post forwarded from a friend.....please people, help this woman; send her good recipes.

I've been inked for breast cancer awareness, and I am def going to keep in touch with Gina and buy her cookbook when it comes out! If you check out Gatlianne's site at (search Gatlianne), with her first book "you the gasoline and I the flame" she's donating ALL procedes to the American Cancer Society! It's a good cause, and if we all just did one little "deed" a day, imagine what a better place the world would be?!?

"Hey yall ~

I am working on a project and I need HELP from all of yall, my friends and loved ones !
You all know about my battle with bone cancer(now in remission) that I have been going through. Well I have been racking my brain to try to figure out something to do that will/can raise for bone cancer research. It seems every where I turn there is something pink raising money for breast cancer research. BUT there needs to be money raised for all types of cancer. So I have finally come up with an idea that will raise a good amount of money.

I am writing and having published a cookbook. The name of the cookbook is "Cooking for a Cure" with all proceeds going to bone cancer research. I have lucked up and I have gotten the support of a very well known lady who is lending her help and ideas and her name to the book. I cannot tell yall right now who it is, but for those who know me really well you can probably figure it out ! Everything she touches turns to $$$ !!!

So what I need from all of yall is RECIPES !!! I do not care what the recipe is for, I just need them. Casseroles, Main dishes, Meats, Veggies, Desserts, Candy, Beverages, Dips, Breads...anything you name it !!! I also want you to tell me why it is your favorite recipe and where you got it from, your Mom, Grandmother, Aunt or Uncle or a lady at church or off the back of a box or from a magazine !

I am so excited about this project and I look forward to receiving your recipes and any other thoughts or ideas you have!
Thanks so much for taking the time to work with me on "Cooking for a Cure" and for all the thoughts and prayers since I have been sick !

Love yall ~
